Kirq at a glance
The COPL (Centre for Optics, Photonics and Lasers at Laval University) is a research group specialising in optics and photonics, recognised for its role in advancing laser technologies, optical communications and cutting-edge photonic systems.
As part of the Kirq testbed, this site serves as a fundamental and applied research environment for exploring the physical foundations of quantum communications. It helps to bridge theoretical advances in photonics with the practical needs of secure fibre-optic transmission, in collaboration with the other nodes in the network.
