Kirq at a glance
Optech is an applied research organisation specialising in optics, photonics and quantum technologies. It supports the development of technological solutions by assisting companies and industrial partners with the design, prototyping and validation of advanced systems. Its role is to bridge the gap between research and application, facilitating the transfer of technology to practical uses.
This site forms part of the Kirq testbed as an environment particularly suited to photonic and quantum technologies. Connected to the dark fibre infrastructure, it enables the testing of quantum communication solutions within a framework where expertise in optics and measurement systems is already well established.
