Kirq at a glance
The University of Sherbrooke is renowned for its expertise in applied research and its close ties with industry, particularly in the field of quantum sciences. It is also home to the Quantum Institute, a research centre dedicated to quantum sciences and technologies, covering both theoretical aspects and experimental developments.
This site forms a scientific pillar of the Kirq testbed. Integration with the dark fibre infrastructure enables quantum communication research to be directly linked to distributed test environments. This paves the way for faster experimental validation, directly linked to academic advances and industrial needs.
